What next?
At MapAid, we have been producing maps similar to the Covid-19 map above in order to visually illustrate where the problems are and where aid is needed most. But further to that, we want to map solutions and, crucially, where there are gaps in solutions.
Using our maps we want to work with local governments, councils and the private sector to resolve the problems which we have highlighted! Our Great Big UK Hope Map showed local success stories from emergency food bank provisions to PPE makers, and inspired others to get involved to make a difference. We are keen to come up with creative ideas and solutions through the use of mapping to help those in need.
