Water is becoming one of the defining challenges of our time. Climate volatility, rising industrial demand, and growing pressure on infrastructure are reshaping how the world thinks about water security and who is responsible for it.
At MapAid, we see this shift every day. That’s why we’re excited to attend Economist Impact’s inaugural Water Summit on February 11th, 2026, in London, joining more than 300 leaders from business, finance, policy, and technology to explore what real water resilience looks like in practice.

Water resilience has moved firmly into the boardroom. Companies now face increasing disclosure requirements, investor scrutiny, and operational risks driven by drought and climate uncertainty. The message is clear: managing water risk is essential to long-term success.
The Water Summit is designed to bring together decision-makers across sectors and focus on four critical areas:
Water Reform to create long-term security through meaningful policy
Boardroom Integration to elevate water within corporate strategy
Investing in Resilience by unlocking new financial models
Digital Transformation using AI and smart systems to anticipate and prevent system stress
We’re proud to be part of an event supported by leaders across the water value chain, including Ecolab, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Veolia, Grundfos, and Autodesk.
In Ethiopia, our team is addressing many of the same challenges being discussed in London:
Reducing investment risk through our WellMapr© AI mapping system, which helps identify sustainable sites for shallow boreholes
Adapting to climate uncertainty by focusing on shallow groundwater in regions affected by increasingly erratic rainfall
Using data to drive decisions, applying AI to large-scale hydrological mapping to deliver affordable, scalable solutions
For us, digital transformation isn’t theoretical; it’s how we help communities access reliable, safe water.

We’re looking forward to learning from the summit’s 20+ case studies and connecting with others who believe that real resilience happens when strategic leadership meets frontline innovation.
By linking boardroom decisions with real-world data and community-level solutions, we move closer to a future where clean drinking water and food security are within reach for everyone.
